WORKSHOP
Neuro-based stress management
No matter how good you eat and how much you exercise, unless you can manage your stress, your mental and physical wellbeing would be at risk. No wonder that chronic stress is one of the leading causes of mental and physical health issues in our modern world.

We’ll dive into the dynamics behind the stress to find strategies and tactics that would help us manage stress better. Zero-stress is not the name of the game. We just need to identify better when we’re stressed and what’s stressing us out so we can find better ways to manage it.
Talks around our brains and the nervous system will lead. I’ve always been an enthusiast of neuro-biology. Our brains are amazingly complex and can be our friend or foe when it comes to stress. I want to share with you how our brain works basically and why our lives -that are not always in sync with our “factory settings”- makes us susceptible to chronic stress.
Finally, we’ll discuss some effective stress management methods, focused on mind-body connection.

Then we’ll have a 45min yin-yang vinyasa yoga practise.
Yoga practise: Yin-yang flow for balance
I’m specialized in Awakening Yoga which is based on vinyasa yoga with an emphasis on functional alignment and introspection. It’s developed by renown yoga teacher Patrick Beach and Carling Nicole. Instead of trying to change our bodies to fit into a pose, we modify the pose to make it fit to our body. Curiosity for the practise, for our edges and rituals for giving in is at the core of the awakening yoga practise.
In the workshop, we’ll flow and get our heartbeats up in the yang part, then we’ll ease into the feelings and let the practise sink in with longer holds in the yin part. Hopefully you’ll leave with a calm mind and body.
This is not going to be a strenuous, advanced yoga practise. But previous yoga experience would help, though not required.
